Diploma Second Year Set (Six Lab Manuals)

It is our pleasure to present this Laboratory Manual with the title “Laboratory Manual of Pharmacology”. This manual is prepared as per PCI Education Regulations, 2020 for Diploma in Pharmacy Second Year. This manual is designed to train the students and improve professional skills to provide the basic understanding about the uses, mechanisms of actions, dose dependent responses of drugs in simulated virtual animal models and experimental conditions.

The objectives of this manual is to provide hands on experiences to the students in the virtual platform using appropriate software on the study of pharmacological effects of drugs like local anaesthetics, mydriatic and mitotic on rabbit eye, screening the effects of various drugs acting in the central nervous system, study of drug effects on isolated organs/ tissues and study of pyrogen testing on rabbit.

It is our pleasure to present this Laboratory Manual with the title “Laboratory Manual of Pharmacotherapeutics”. This manual is prepared as per PCI Education Regulations, 2020 for Diploma in Pharmacy Second Year. This manual is designed to train the students in the basic skills required to support the pharmaceutical care services for selected common disease conditions.

The objectives of this manual is to provide hands on experiences to the students how to prepare a SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment and Plan) note for clinical cases of selected common diseases and patient counselling techniques/method for common disease conditions.

It is our pleasure to present this Laboratory Manual with the title “Laboratory Manual of Social Pharmacy”. This manual is prepared as per PCI Education Regulations, 2020 for Diploma in Pharmacy First Year. This manual is designed to provide simulated experience in various public health and social pharmacy activities to the students.

The objectives of this manual is to trained the students on various roles of pharmacists in public health and social pharmacy activities in national immunization programs, reproductive and child health programs, food and nutrition related health programs, health education and promotion, general roles and responsibilities of the pharmacists in public health and first aid for various emergency conditions including basic life support and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

It is our pleasure to present this Laboratory Manual with the title “Laboratory Manual of Community Pharmacy and Management”. This manual is prepared as per PCI Education Regulations, 2020 for Diploma in Pharmacy Second Year. This manual is designed to train the students and improve professional skills to provide various pharmaceutical care services in community pharmacy.

The objectives of this manual is to provide hands on experiences to the students in the professional handling and filling prescriptions, patient counselling on diseases and minor ailments, patient counselling on prescription and / or non-prescription medicines, preparation of counselling materials such as patient information leaflets and performing basic health screening tests.

It is our pleasure to present this Laboratory Manual with the title “Laboratory Manual of Pharmaceutical Chemistry”. This manual is prepared as per PCI Education Regulations, 2020 for Diploma in Pharmacy First Year. This manual is designed to impart basic training and hands on experiences to synthesize chemical substances used as drugs and pharmaceuticals. Also, to perform the quality control tests, impurity testing, test for purity and systematic qualitative analysis of chemical substances used as drugs and pharmaceuticals.

The objectives of this manual is to provide hands on experiences to the students regarding limit test and assays of selected chemical substances as per the monograph, volumetric analysis of the chemical substances, basics of preparatory chemistry and systematic qualitative analysis for the identification of the drugs.
